Viaggio al castello delle nuvole
Giulia and Marco woke early today. They felt the sun on their faces. The sky was soft and pale blue. Giulia held a small map in her hand. Marco wore a red scarf and smiled. They wanted to find the cloud castle. The air smelled like wet grass and warm bread. Birds sang close by the path. Giulia said softly, "Do you feel the wind?" Marco nodded, "Yes, I am excited." They ran down the lane and into the bright wood. The trees made cool shade above them. The path rose like a gentle hill. The two friends found a puddle of light. The puddle showed a path of silver clouds. Giulia felt joy and wonder. Marco touched the cloud with his fingertips. The cloud felt cool and soft like cotton. A small rabbit peeped out from a fern. The rabbit looked curious and calm. Giulia asked, "Shall we follow the cloud?" Marco agreed, but he felt a little worried. "What if we get lost?" he said. Giulia took his hand and smiled. They stepped on the cloud path and it rose slow. Leaves brushed their arms and smelled sweet. The wind sang low songs in their ears. The world below grew small like toys. The castle sat on high clouds far away. It looked very pretty and white. The two friends held each other and climbed more. The path grew thin and the air grew cool. Marco slipped for a breath and caught a cloud edge. Giulia reached out and helped him up. They both laughed with relief. Far off a dark cloud moved slow. It made the sky heavy and low. "We must pass it," said Giulia, brave and calm. They walked faster and the wind blew their hair. The rabbit hopped close and led the way. Marco felt brave when Giulia squeezed his hand. The heavy cloud made soft rain like bead drops. The drops were cold and made a soft drum sound. The friends found a tiny cave of cloud to hide in. They breathed in and listened to the drops. Giulia thought of warm tea and hugs. Marco thought of his home light at night. The rabbit nuzzled Marco and made him smile. The rain stopped and a light opened. White birds flew like paper boats ahead. They left the cave and the castle shone near. A tall bridge of light bent from cloud to cloud. Marco looked up and his eyes grew wide. Giulia felt proud and reached to take his hand. They ran across the bridge like two brave kids. Wind pushed them, but they held firm. Halfway, a small cloud dragon came to play. It was not mean, just shy and warm. The dragon curled and blew puffs that smelled like flowers. Giulia kneeled and touched its soft nose. Marco laughed and jumped over a small puff. The dragon led them to the castle gate. The gate was made of moonlight and soft stone. A bell rang, low and kind. The friends felt their hearts beat slow and calm. Inside, the halls shone with dream stars. In the high room, a wise woman sat and smiled. Her eyes were kind and her voice was soft. She said, "This castle keeps the best dreams." Giulia and Marco listened, their breath light and small. The wise woman asked them to close their eyes. She gave each a small silver feather. "When you hold this feather, good dreams will come," she said softly. Giulia felt a warm glow in her chest. Marco hugged the feather like it was a pet toy. They learned the castle makes dreams for children around the world. The rabbit hopped on Giulia's shoe and slept. The dragon curled at Marco's feet and purred like a small wind. They sat on a cloud seat and ate sweet cloud berries. The taste was soft and like warm milk and honey. Night came slow and gentle in the sky. Giulia and Marco left the castle with slow steps. The clouds took them down like a soft bed. The moon watched like a close friend. The map folded in Giulia's pocket, now full of small bright marks. Marco held his red scarf tight and smiled. The rabbit rode on Giulia's shoulder and slept. The dragon waved a small puff of flower air goodbye. The two friends felt calm and proud. Back at home, they tucked their feathers under their pillows. They lay still and felt the soft sheet like a cloud. Giulia and Marco breathed slow and deep. They thought of the light bridge and the kind woman. They dreamed of new paths and kind friends. The night kept them safe and warm. The last star blinked and the house sighed. The world was quiet and soft. Soon both slept with small smiles on their lips.
