Aventuras de Luna e Pedro

Luna and Pedro heard waves at night. They sat on a soft rug. The moon made the room blue. Luna felt excited and curious. Pedro held a small map. He smiled and pointed to a dot. "Let us go," said Luna. They closed their eyes and breathed in. The rug began to move like a boat. The walls became water and stars. They saw fish lights below. Cold air brushed their cheeks. Pedro felt a little worried, but he felt brave too. Luna took his hand and laughed. The rug sailed down, down, under the waves. They slid under a bright blue arch. A large dolphin swam near them. It had a kind face and a soft voice. "Come with us," it said. Luna felt surprised and happy. Pedro blinked and then he smiled. The dolphin showed a coral town. Tiny houses shone in warm light. Seaweed trees waved like flags. Luna smelled salt and flowers from the reef. Pedro touched a shell and it hummed a song. The dolphin told them of a lost pearl. The pearl was very pretty and gave light to the town. If the pearl was lost, the town would be dim. Luna felt worried. Pedro felt proud and strong. "We will help," he said. The dolphin nodded and dove ahead. Luna and Pedro followed close. They passed a field of blue plants. Little crabs peeked from sand holes. A shy turtle watched with wise eyes. Pedro pointed at a dark cave. A ripple of cold water came from there. Luna held her breath and felt the cold on her skin. The cave mouth was like a big mouth in the reef. Inside, the water glowed weak and pale. The pearl's light might be there. Luna felt small, but she felt brave with Pedro. Pedro found a rope and tied it to a rock. He gave the rope to Luna. "Hold on," he said. Luna nodded and pulled. The cave had narrow turns and soft sand. A small bell rang in the far dark. They moved slow and careful. The bell sound grew near and made them curious. The dolphin waited close at the cave edge. A shadow moved by a pile of shells. Luna gasped and Pedro held her hand. The shadow was a big octopus. It looked sad and cold. The octopus had a shiny shell on its head. The shell was the lost pearl! The octopus hugged the shell close. It shook like it would cry. Luna spoke soft and kind. "We will not take it away," she said. Pedro talked to the octopus too. He said, "Is it lost or do you need it?" The octopus blew bubbles and showed a small scar on its arm. It could not sleep without the shell. The dolphin dove near and showed how the town was dim. The octopus looked at the rope and then at the town pictures the dolphin made in the sand. It felt torn. Luna had an idea. She sat and sang a calm song. The octopus eased and let go of the shell a bit. Pedro made a soft bed of shells and seaweed. He asked if the octopus would like the shell back after the town had light at night. The octopus blinked and nodded slow. It floated up and handed the pearl to Luna. They swam back fast with the pearl. The coral town brightened as they came. Little lights returned to every home. Fish danced in pairs. The octopus followed and watched from a safe reef. The town cheered with small songs and splashes. The dolphin opened a ring of bubbles like a crown. Luna placed the pearl in the reef heart. Light spread warm and pretty. Pedro felt proud and laughed. The octopus touched the reef and found a new soft shell to wear. It looked happy and calm. The town gave Luna and Pedro a small shell gift. The children waved to all their new friends. The dolphin nudged them close and sang one last bright tune. They felt tired and very content. The rug boat rose through cool water and climbed. Stars were near again. Luna and Pedro felt the bed rug under them. The moon smiled through the window. They hugged and yawned. Luna smelled the salt and the soft rug. Pedro kept the small shell gift in his hand. "We helped good friends," said Luna. Pedro nodded and closed his eyes. The night felt warm and safe. The sea song faded like a soft bell. They slept with happy hearts and kind dreams. Morning would bring new play and new tales, but for now they slept. Night held them close and calm.
