Zoe and Aurora's Snow Path

Zoe and Aurora woke by the moon. The moon shone on the snow. Zoe had a blue parka. Aurora had a pink suit. TUTU the rabbit sat by the door. Mr Chicken clucked soft. "Come see!" said Zoe. "Let us go," said Aurora. They put on warm caps. The snow made a soft song. They breath puffed white in the air. The moon was big and blue. They felt brave and glad. They held each hand and went out. The path was white and long. They all walk slow and sure. The wind made small snow bits. Far on the hill they saw a red hat. The hat sat by a tree. "Who lost this hat?" said Zoe. TUTU sniffed the hat. Mr Chicken pecked at the grass. Aurora felt sad for the hat. "Come on," said Zoe. "We will find the one." They walk up the hill. The sky had blue stars. They hear a soft cry far off. The cry was like a small bird. Zoe runs up the slope. Aurora runs here fast. TUTU jumps up and down. Mr Chicken runs too. They all look and listen. They find a small fox by a rock. The fox is cold and sad. She has no hat on her head. "Hello," said Aurora. "Are you sad?" The fox nods her head. TUTU nudge the fox with a nose. Mr Chicken give a warm cluck. Zoe take the hat and say, "This hat is yours?" The fox smile a bit. "Yes," she says in a small voice. The wind is cold and loud now. Zoe and Aurora feel brave. "We will help you," said Zoe. They plan to find a warm den. They all form a small line. They walk down the hill slow. A long path had a high ice wall. The wall was hard to pass. Zoe look up and think. "We can sled!" said Zoe. Aurora clap her hands. Mr Chicken flap a bit. TUTU dig a small path. Zoe sit on a big sled. Aurora hold on tight. The fox hop on too. Mr Chicken stand near the sled nose. They push and go fast down. "Run, run, run!" They all run and glide. The wind sings in their ears. Snow lights fly up like small stars. The sled jump a small bump. Zoe steer the sled safe. Aurora laugh and call, "Whee!" They land by a warm cave light. Inside the cave many friends wait. A bear hum a low song. An owl blink slow. A fish in a small bowl bob here. All say, "Welcome!" The fox feel warm and safe. Zoe wrap the fox in the red hat. Aurora make a small bed of soft moss. Mr Chicken bring a seed to share. TUTU hop on the moss and smile. The cave smell of pine and warm wood. The fox close her eyes and feel glad. Zoe and Aurora sit and sip a small cup of warm juice. They tell a soft tale of the moon. The friends feel kind and calm. The moon moved high and bright. Zoe and Aurora yawn and nod. TUTU curl up by Zoe's shoe. Mr Chicken tuck his head and sleep. The fox snore soft and dream. The stars blink like small eyes. Zoe whisper, "We did well." Aurora whisper back, "We helped a friend." The cave is warm and safe. The wind outside hush and slow. The moon watches them with a kind light. All breathe in and out slow. All feel warm and glad. The night hum a soft song. They close their eyes and sleep. Good night, snow and moon, and friends.
